Nigel Quine

Nigel has worked across a number of different industries including music, tech and business services. He is a supportive leader, enabling his team to make positive change and strive to be the best.

A smoker previously, Nigel happened across a vaping device at a party in early 2010, took up vaping and within two months had given up tobacco usage completely. He is extremely passionate about the positive impact that vaping can have on the lives of smokers across the globe but also appreciates that it is a long way off realising his dream of a smoke free society.

To achieve this goal, he set up Cuts Ice in 2012, and invested his time in developing the business into an e-liquid market leader by improving product quality, striving for better public education, supporting credible research, and shaping sensible regulation to give smokers the best chance of quitting tobacco altogether.

Robert Leechman

Robert has nearly forty years of experience in the consumer goods sector both in the UK and internationally. His first thirty years were spent with Mars and then the Coca-Cola Company. With Coke he worked in the Gulf, Australia, Central and Eastern Europe and then latterly was the Chief Customer Officer and Vice President of the Company based in Atlanta. For the past decade he has been Chairman, Director or Adviser to several mid cap private or private equity backed FMCG businesses in the Uk, most with an international aspect to them. At Cuts Ice he works closely with Nigel and the Executive team on the longer term strategy and its execution.

When not at work Robert is occasionally allowed to watch sport by his wife and three daughters and is passionate about rugby and football, his teams being Gloucester and Leeds United. The rest of his spare time will be spent walking or cycling around the Cotswolds, his home base.

Sally Ward

From a background in retail sales and credit control, Sally is one of the longest running members of staff at Cuts Ice and has turned her hand to many different positions within the company. Beginning in Customer Service in 2014, she quickly gained a keen interest in this exciting and dynamic vaping industry. She has progressed her career rapidly alongside the business, becoming our Head of Sales in early 2018.

Sociable and outgoing, Sally has now become a bit of a familiar face in the world of vaping, dedicated to looking after and ensuring the best possible service for all of Cuts Ice’ clients, both old and new

Outside of work Sally is likely to be found at the front of a gig, at a music festival with friends or indulging her passion in the theatrical arts.

Rowley Brown

Rowley has a wealth of experience in finance specialising in Manufacturing and Systems. Responsible for the finances of Cuts Ice, Rowley makes sure the company’s financial controls and processes are adhered to. Rowley ensures that all Investors, suppliers and customers are serviced professionally, and that credit risk is optimised. Rowley also oversees the rollout of Cuts Ice’s enterprise resource planning, company reporting both internally and externally and is a member of the senior management team.

At Cuts Ice Albena is tasked with creating and implementing operational strategies that deliver sustained excellence. As an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with extensive experience in all aspects of FMCG operations, Albena thrives on undertaking new challenges, finding new opportunities and working with others to achieve Cuts Ice’s mission and goals.

Albena is driven by the knowledge that her work is helping people switch from tobacco to a significantly less harmful alternative. Her favourite part of the job is being able to contribute towards the building of high performing teams and enabling a creative and rewarding work environment at Cuts Ice.

Outside of work, Albena enjoys traveling and being able to learn about new cultures, and grasps every opportunity to visit new places and meet new people.

Richard Bailey

Richard has been involved in the vaping industry both as a consumer and in a professional capacity since its early days in the UK. A keen DIY vaper, Richard has been mixing his own e-liquids and experimenting with new flavour combinations for a number of years. Richard spent a number of years assisting with the organisation of the UK’s original vaping showcase event Vape Fest, and was subsequently invited by Cuts Ice to assist with the testing of new e-liquids prior to release.

As our Vape Product Development Manager Richard is responsible for formulating new products for Cuts Ice’s OEM clients and own brands. Given his years of vaping and mixing experience, Richard is able to accurately create e-liquids which fulfil the customer’s initial brief, whilst also offering suggestions based on current and developing market trends. He is tasked with working closely alongside Cuts Ice’s flavour suppliers, to ensure that not only the best tasting flavour components go into the final product, but also the highest purity Vape Grade Flavourings.

In his free time, Richard spends his time working on his prized Subaru Impreza.

Joanna Slyvia Hickling QC

Bubbly, tri-lingual and with a background in Forensic Science, Joanna is our Lab Manager. She spends her day to day running the E-liquid Production and Testing Laboratory here at Cuts Ice. Through her unrelenting determination Joanna ensures the production of the highest quality e-liquid every time. Dedicated to developing both quality and production processes within the lab, she believes in engaging her team in her projects, recognising the value of their diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Outside work Joanna is a passionate singer and pop-culture lover, she can always be found at London’s MCM unless she is traveling Europe visiting her family.

Vanessa Tenkorang

Vanessa has been at Cuts Ice for over 2 years. After graduating with a degree in Biochemistry, Vanessa developed an interest in molecular biology after working in a microbiology lab.

After initially starting in the production laboratory at Cuts Ice, Vanessa was promoted to our Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs team and took on the role of Product Stewardship Manager. Her role primarily focuses on ensuring compliance to chemical and consumer regulations, and making sure the e-liquids we manufacture are safe and relevant regulatory information is communicated effectively along the supply chain. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys keeping active and going to the gym.

Diana joined Cuts Ice in August 2016, with almost a decade dedicated to customer service and the development of people. As an account manager with a vast array of international clients, she is proud to be the first point of contact for her clients and assist them in building sustainable businesses and promote growth – a number of her client’s products are stocked in C-Stores in addition to specialist vape stores. Day to day Diana ensures all client’s orders and projects are fulfilled on time. Music is constantly playing in her life and she enjoys an occasional swim. She also enjoys cooking new dishes, but not nearly as much as eating them.

Martin Rayomand

Before joining Cuts Ice at the start of 2017 Martin graduated with a degree in Machinery Engineering, and has had a varied professional career working in roles encompassing graphic design, advertising, printing, music and IT. Using his diverse experiences, Martin has designed and developed innovative packaging and automated solutions for Cuts Ice’s manufacturing processes, which all contribute to the production of our quality, consistent, and premium e-liquids.

Day to day, Martin is tasked with supporting the NPD process for both our own brand and OEM products. He is driven by a hunger for delivering the next era of vaping product manufacturing, and won’t rest until Cuts Ice is at the forefront. In his spare time, Martin enjoys studying, exercising, travelling.

Matthew Kersey

After graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Politics, Matthew cut his teeth working as a Parliamentary Assistant for several MPs in Westminster. After writing speeches, responding to constituents, and advising on policy for 3 years, Matthew began working at the UK’s largest independent vaping trade association, and saw the once in a generation opportunity for public health which vaping presents.

Since joining Cuts Ice in July 2018, Matthew has responsibility for all of the company’s work with national and local governments, the media, and campaigns with other industry stakeholders. He is the first point of contact for any media enquiries, and has acted as a spokesperson for Cuts Ice in national print and broadcast media.

When not at work, Matthew spends his time playing, watching, and consuming anything related to American Football and his beloved Green Bay Packers.

After 10 years working for a leading manufacturer, Anna joined Cuts Ice in 2014. Starting out as a Laboratory Assistant, Anna seized opportunities and quickly progressed to become a Laboratory Manager, before moving to her current role as Head of Production Operations.

At Cuts Ice Anna leads our production teams and enables the team to consistently produce high volumes of quality e-liquid. Anna has a strong track record of process improvement in production, planning, and process environments. Anna has put the tools in place to facilitate the production of premium e-liquids which exceed our client’s expectations. During her free time, Anna enjoys running and fulfilling her passion for art.

Garry Dibley

Garry is responsible for managing the e-commerce and marketing departments at Cuts Ice. He strongly believes that the customer is the single most valuable asset an organisation can have and is driven by the unrelenting pursuit of customer-driven focus, ideals and user experience.

Garry has been involved in the industry since vaping started to get a small foothold in 2008.
With a strong background in engineering he has been involved with all aspects of vaping product development from design to manufacturing. Prior to joining Cuts Ice he was in a role advising independent vaping vendors and manufactures, providing guidance and advice on all legal and other regulatory developments of relevance to vaping businesses.

When away from the office, Garry can still be found in his shed, tinkering with vaping devices.
