What constitutes a premium product? Is it based on perception, or is it something else?
Busting the myth.
Premium is not limited to packaging, points of sale, or indeed perception of what looks good online or in store. It encompasses the lifecycle of a product from cradle to disposal – the consumer interaction, the environmental impact, the component parts, and the quality of supply.
At Cuts Ice we have a dedicated Product Stewardship department which focuses on environmental management strategy that means whoever designs, produces, sells, or uses a product takes responsibility for minimising the product’s environmental impact throughout all stages of the products’ life cycle.
The greatest responsibility lies with whoever has the most ability to affect the full life cycle environmental impacts of the product. This is most often the producer of the product, though all within the product chain of commerce have a responsibility.
Supply chain is key.
One of the keys to our success and why we stand by our products and state with confidence that they are premium is having an audited UK supply chain for the components that go into our products. Being UK based companies means that they have to adhere to the laws and standards that have been created to protect consumers.
Most of our upstream manufacturing partners primarily supply the pharmaceutical sector with products like USP/EP (pharmaceutical grade) nicotine, which is regulated by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
We have invested in our own proprietary enclosure mechanism (bottle, tip, and cap) which is child resistant and tamper evident.
