Cuts Ice CEO Nigel Quine has written an open letter to the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, asking for the Government to reconsider its decision to classify vape shops as “non-essential” businesses.
Per current Government guidance, vape shops across England will be forced to close from Thursday November 5th, when new lockdown measures will be introduced.
This action will put the health of smokers, and those who have managed to quit combustible tobacco products over recent months, at risk. Other countries have made provisions to keep vape shops open during previous lockdowns, notably in Italy follow consultation with the scientific community.
Cuts Ice will continue to engage with politicians on this issue, and urges all vaping businesses in the UK to contact their local representatives to make the case for the reclassification of vape shops as essential businesses.
